Community Health and Wellness

HR CDN provides ongoing support for health and wellness initiatives in the Halfway River First Nation community. Our accomplishments include helping establish a fully stocked community gym, support for the annual Halfway River Rodeo, a successful youth drivers program, and the training of a full-time electrical apprentice from Halfway River First Nation.

As a member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB), HR CDN is a participant in the Progressive Aboriginal Relations program and is currently certified as “PAR Committed”. This confirms our activities have brought benefits to Indigenous businesses and communities and solidifies our commitment to long-term relationships with shared value.

Training and Employment

We are committed to providing employment opportunities for all Indigenous communities in the Peace Region. We have a successful track record of working with the North East Native Advancing Society and North Peace Secondary School to provide Indigenous students with pre-apprentice training and employment opportunities with HR CDN.
